Family of Transylvania
The piece consists of a vampire family, designed as supernatural beings with distinct differences in variety and traits. The family consists of a father, a mother, and a female child. The father has more of a fancy, traditional style.
The Mother, more of a mysterious and fantasy style. The child, more of an evil and monstrous style.
Another Time, Another Space
This piece is a play on the crossover character design of Ahsoka Tano from Star Wars the Clone Wars, and a 1700s Pirate Buccaneer. I researched many trinkets and outfits pirates in that era wore. I then created my own version and fitted it to Captain Tano, providing her with personal symbols and trinkets. Such as her diamond necklace, color palette, apprentice beads, diamond-shaped wraps around her boots, and a long sword and dagger to implicate her original and shoto lightsaber. Focusing on the details of this was in order to keep her character intact while transitioning Ahsoka into a new world.
Comedy Duo
This piece shows the development process, gesture comedy, rendered character paintings, and a rendered illustration of a comedic work of a teenage punk turtle and an adult business snail. Creating these characters from common object silhouettes, turning them into stylized characters with individuality through a series of development works. The narrative and main point of this piece is to give the audience a chuckle through the irony of the scene.
Highway to Heaven
This piece was to create a vehicle and, in addition, a character companion for the ride itself. The theme and narrative behind this work is the characters are the reapers between Heaven and Earth. However, having an ironic twist, as though the car itself is mysterious with hints of demonic elements, such as the golem hood ornament. While the companion character does not seem to be a typical biblical Angel, you will find him rather agitated and annoyed while always smoking a cigarette.
